HoverCam Flex 1.0 HoverCam Express 1.0 CardPro Scan Manager 1.0
We offer two software programs for use with the HoverCam. If you require recording voice & video, we recommend you download and install HoverCam Express. If you don't require recording, we recommend you download HoverCam Flex software.
HoverCam Flex 1.0
Hovercam Flex is a Rich Internet Application (RIA), based and developed on Adobe Air 2.0 technology. Because of it, we are able to put together a user-friendly, cross platform, and, most importantly, powerful tool for all of your quick and simple scanning and digital filing needs.
For most of us, capturing the document image is only the beginning. We need a tool to manage digitized documents for storage, emailing, faxing, backing up to cloud, file manipulation, such as saving to PDF. Hovercam Flex does it all (except video recording), and is free with the purchase of a HoverCam camera.
**Known Issues:
- On certain MacBook and MacBook Pro machines, HCFlex can only connect to the built-in iSight camera. Please use HoverCam Express 1.0 instead.
- Some anti-virus software categorizes a HCFlex component as virus, and subsequently delete or block the installation.
- Recording functionality is not supported in HoverCam Flex. Please download HoverCam Express if you desire recording.
HoverCam Express 1.0
Download HoverCam Express if you require video recording. Due to the inherent limitations of Adobe Air, certain functions, such as video recording, just can't be implemented in HoverCam Flex. Our future goal is to migrate ALL functionality of HoverCam Flex 1.0 to "HoverCam Express for Windows" and "HoverCam Express for Mac OS X" using each OS' native development platform. However, this migration effort is time consuming. We are delivering intermediate releases on a continuous basis as progress is made. Meantime, please pardon our construction dust. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
HoverCam Express currently includes essential functions such as real time video, zoom, pan, video device selection, video resolution setting changes, document scanning, file save and file compression settings. It does not include a full functioned file manager which is part of HoverCam Flex.
Video Recording (including audio and video recording) IS a supported feature of HoverCam Express 1.0.
